Medicare Expansion Under $3.5 Trillion Budget Plan
The Medicare Expansion as a part of their $3.5 Trillion dollar budget plan. The Expanded Medicare is one piece of the new bill, which also includes proposed nd higher-income earners to fund education, infrastructure, public health programs and more. The goal with this change in Medicare expansion would be to allow seniors access for care regardless of at what age they became eligible for Medicare coverage.
The Medicare Expansion was a key part of the $3.5 Trillion budget plan, and on Wednesday they introduced legislation to “strengthen” Medicare coverage. Medicare is currently designed for seniors and people with disabilities who are 65 or older. But there is no age requirement for Medicare recipients if they have specific disabilities such as ALS (Lou Gehrig’s Disease) or Parkinson’s Disease. Under the new bill, Medicare would be available to anyone who has been disabled by any disease that prevents them from working full-time, regardless of their age.
. Medicare provisions are designed for people who cannot work because of their disease, which makes it difficult or impossible to perform two out of six “activities of daily living” (bathing, dressing, toileting etc.) on a regular basis.
This Medicare expansion ever since they took control of the House in 2019 after winning1) Medicare would cover, vision, dental and hearing under the spending plan.
WHAT WOULD MEDICARE EXPANSION COVER
1 – Medicare expansion and coverage for vision, dental and hearing to be covered
2 – The eligibility age is current 65 and would be lowered to 60.
3- Although this is still in the hands of the Congress the specifics would have to wait until the Center for Medicare and Medicaid figures out the specifics.
By, expanding Medicare it would assists the Medicare beneficiaries, 62 million individuals who are currently enrolled in Medicare to fill some of the major gaps in coverage, Dental, Vision, and Hearing. By not CoveringDental, Vision and Hearing Medicare covered indivisuals medical needs are substantially burdened by the inability, get the full treat in these areas. It made no-sense for over 50 years that these services were not included in Medicare. Ask yourself why you would need separate insurance for teeth, eyes and ears on the same body. Now it seems like Congress may be getting it right and I will keep you posted on the updates.
