1. Initial Enrollment Period: This is the 7-month period that starts 3 months before the month of your 65th birthday and ends 3 months after the month of your 65th birthday. During this time, you can sign up for Original Medicare (Part A and Part B) without penalty.

2. Annual Enrollment Period: This is the period from October 15 to December 7 each year during which you can make changes to your Medicare coverage for the following year.

3. General Enrollment Period: This is the period from January 1 to March 31 each year during which you can enroll in Original Medicare (Part A and Part B) if you did not do so during the Initial Enrollment Period.

4. Special Enrollment Period: If you have a change in circumstances (such as moving to a new area or losing employer coverage), you may be eligible for a Special Enrollment Period during which you can enroll in or make changes to your Medicare coverage.

5. Open Enrollment Period: This is the period from October 15 to December 7 each year during which you can join, switch or drop a Medicare Advantage plan or a Prescription Drug Plan.
