Congress is still at it. Congress is attempting to pass major legislation that will expand Medicare but recently they have hit several roadblocks. They are trying to determine what stays in and what stays out. We all know that our nation’s health care system needs all the help it can get. It needs to be strengthened to include dental, vision, hearing and lowering the cost of the prescription. I never understood why Medicare would exclude such vital coverage. This is the time that all of our seniors should make their voices heard.
Congress is being urged by different types of senior advocate groups to just make it simple.
Medicare is a mess of different types of parts, different types of enrollment dates, different types of dis-enrollment dates, and different types of contract carriers. Why all the complexity, why all the confusion, why all the anxiety. Just include it all in one.
“Congress should listen to the American People.” It is clear that 9 out of 10 people want their dental included. Also, it is horrible that the Big Pharma companies need to make such a high profit off the aging and sick American people when we know that their resources are diminished and many face financial hardships to pay for overpriced medication. Our seniors need your help. It bothers me that the train of thought is to make money off the sick and broke, where have we gone wrong CONGRESS.
There is a call for help from our seniors who have paid into the Medicare system for years hoping they would receive benefits that would help them and not cause financial hardships in their golden years and not worry whether they should eat or take medication. Do not let this opportunity to help MILLIONS of help escape your grasp be remembered in history as the congress who said I can not the congress disappoints again and again. We all want to have faith in you, but your actions have to show louder than all the promises that never come to fruition.
Medicare is extremely popular, but it needs attention to ensure all beneficiaries receive comprehensive coverage and equitable treatment. The Medicare program that Americans know and cherish has been allowed to wither. Traditional Medicare, preferred by most beneficiaries, has not been improved in years, yet private Medicare Advantage plans have been repeatedly bolstered. It’s time to build a better Medicare.
1) Make it easy to enroll in Medicare Advantage Plans
2- Reduce the Maxiumum out of pockets for all plans especially for Original Medicare
3) Lower drug prices help the people, not the Pharmaceutical companies get richer.
4) Include Dental, Hearing, Vision, and more
5) Improve support for all beneficiaries
